Do you dream of starting your own business, but don’t know where to start? 

The MUSE is hosting a series of seminars to help students from all faculties on their entrepreneurial paths.  Led by real entrepreneurs, these workshops will advise and expand your awareness of the realities of being an entrepreneur.

Myths on Entrepreneurship- January 18, 2012

This workshop will cover the common myths as well as the realities of entrepreneurship. You will learn what it takes to be an entrepreneur and how to actually get your business off the ground.

The Business Plan- February 1, 2012

Business plans are essential for raising funds, monitoring progress, making plans, and many other things besides.This workshop will give you an overview of the importance, structure, and management of a business plan. By the end of this session you should be able to write up and manage your own business plan in the context of your business.

Competing in the Dobson Cup- February 15, 2012

A specific funding option will be discussed here. In this seminar you will learn the rules and structure of the Dobson Cup from organizers of the competition, as well as gain insight on effectively competing within it. By the end of this session, you can expect to comfortable in entering the Dobson Cup with your business idea.

Raising Money & Finding a Start-Up Team- March 7, 2012

Raising money is essential to starting a business, but so is having a good team. In this seminar you will learn how to get the cash you need and the smart way to gather a team, minus the mistakes. Public and private funding options and partnership agreements will be covered in this session.
